The Sponsor 5 suit is specially designed for drivers who want to stand out in a crowd. The excellent cut, the attention to tailoring and the richness of the Nomex III fabric with its shiny finish, exclusive to Sparco, make it as much a fashion garment as it is fireproof racewear. The Sponsor 5 comes in a blue and white suit, with a red stripe accenting the upper body. Suit is rated SFI 3-2A/5.

Layers: 3 Insulated Collar:
A special inner layer of Nomex has been used in the collar to help keep it supported and in the upright position at all times. This special fabric helps to assure you that the collar maintains the proper integrity to protect your neck from heat.

Collapsible Stretch System:
An internal elastic band has been surrounded by an outer layer of Nomex fabric inside the back of the Sponsor 5 suit. The elastic band moderates and controls the collapsible stretch system. Extra Nomex has been added to the back of the suit to allow room for stretching. When the extra fabric is fully expanded it can add up to 3 inches of mobility and freedom.

Box Quitlting:
The Sponsor 5 combines a 2 layer corrugated sandwich weave of Nomex with Sparco's classic box quilting construction. This stitching process on your driver's suit is more than just a nice pattern. With each box quilted onto the suit, creating tiny pockets of air between the driver's body and the heat source. Since heat transfer through air is much slower than by direct contact with an object, each pocket dramatically slows the effects of heat and external fire on the wearer of the suit.
